Paragon for archiving wins prestigious Best of Show Award at IBC2015
Stand 2.B59, IBC 2015, Amsterdam: The IBC 2015 Best of Show Awards were announced and presented to TMD during the IBC Show by TV Technology Europe, published by NewBay Media.
An independent panel of judges was tasked with examining and assessing this year’s nominations and Paragon won for its design, features, cost efficiency, and performance in serving industry professionals.
“It’s an honour to win this highly prestigious award at IBC 2015” said Tony Taylor, CEO of TMD. "As the proliferation of digital media content continues and the content archive repository becomes a central resource, the challenge facing media organisations today is how to efficiently manage and secure content throughout the entire media lifecycle whilst maximising the opportunities to access and repurpose them. At TMD, we have addressed this issue with our new, standalone archiving product, Paragon. Paragon is a hierarchical storage management (HSM) platform for any media producer, post production, broadcast or archive organisation that cost-effectively scales from systems for a single user/ small workgroups to large national archives with petabytes of storage. It is an open architecture, media aware storage management system that utilise the LTFS standard to control LTO data robots and is powered by TMD's world-renowned Mediaflex® platform."
