TMD launches the "Next Big Thing" in Media Asset Management

NAB, Las Vegas, booth N3716, 11 - 14 April 2011:  TMD is launching Mediaflex V4 at NAB. Mediaflex V4 provides the ultimate portfolio for media-centric organisations to better create, manage and monetise their media content.

Mediaflex V4 continues to push the boundaries of what MAM/DAM should and can be used for. Unique features include a powerful and user-extensible data model for broadcast, media and archives, as well as a critical business-reporting platform to enable fast decision making across the media operation. With a comprehensive system monitoring and management infrastructure, Mediaflex V4 is the ‘next big thing’ in media asset management evolution.

Other key features included in V4 which address increased content throughput are Mediaflex LoadMaster and Mediaflex QManager. LoadMaster provides load-balancing for file-based processes such as transcoding and file transfer, as well as resilience across multiple service managers in the SOA environment. QManager delivers an intuitive operational user interface for managing queue priorities in the content preparation chain.

Monitoring is fast-becoming the key differentiator in installation set-ups and Mediaflex System Monitor offers the most superior management of the SOA environment from a single display. Providing real-time displays of all status and errors, it also enables support and supervisory personnel to identify the status of the system by providing notifications to them when errors occur throughout the production chain.
